About Our Practice

What does Prairie Orthopaedic & Plastic Surgery specialize in?

We offer a broad range of services as a multi-specialty clinic, including orthopaedic surgery, plastic & reconstructive surgery, podiatry, hand & upper extremity surgery, sports medicine, total joint replacement, shoulder and elbow surgery, and more. We also have Physical and Occupational Therapists at both of our Lincoln, NE locations.

Where are your clinic locations?

We have offices in Lincoln (North and South), Nebraska, and in Omaha, NE.

What are your clinic hours?

Our main office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
Physical/Occupational Therapy hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

Appointments & Access

How do I request an appointment?

For all appointments and inquiries, please call or click here to request an appointment online.

Do you have an urgent care or walk-in option?

Yes, we offer Ortho Express Care, which is designed for more immediate orthopaedic needs. This is offered Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

How can I access my medical records or check my patient portal?

We use a Patient Portal (via CureMD) where you can view your records, appointment details, and communicate securely.

Services & Treatments

What orthopaedic procedures do you offer?

Procedures include but are not limited to: knee and shoulder joint replacement, knee and shoulder cartilage surgeries, meniscus repair, sports medicine surgeries, ACL reconstruction, arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgeries, elbow surgery, hand surgery(carpal tunnel, trigger finger), foot and ankle surgeries. We also offer various types of injections for pain and osteoarthritis conditions.

Do you provide non-surgical or rehabilitative care?

Yes. Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy are part of our services.

What kinds of plastic surgery do you perform?

Our plastic surgery team includes reconstructive and cosmetic specialists as well as hand and facial trauma services.

Do you treat foot and ankle problems?

Yes. We have podiatric surgeons (DPM) to address conditions related to the foot and ankle. These podiatrists are surgically trained.

Insurance, Billing & Payments

What insurance do you accept?

We provide an Insurance Info section on our website where you can check accepted plans.

Do you accept self-pay patients?

Yes. There is a Self-Pay Options page for patients who do not want to use insurance.

How can I pay my bill?

Bills can be paid online through the Pay Your Bill portal on our website.

Preparing for Your Visit

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Please bring:

  • A valid ID (driver’s license or similar)
  • Insurance information
  • Any referral letters (if required)
  • Previous medical reports, X-rays, CT or MRI scans if you have them
  • List of current medications

Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment?

Yes. Call our office during business hours. We request at least 1 day’s notice when possible to better serve all patients.

Surgery & Recovery

Do you have your own surgery center?

Yes. We have an Ambulatory Surgery Center affiliated with Prairie Orthopaedic & Plastic Surgery.

What is your approach to recovery and rehabilitation?

We emphasize customized rehabilitative strategies tailored to each patient’s needs, combining surgery (if needed) with physical / occupational therapy.
